The Chief of Staff is a strategic advisor and operating partner to the global COO and her leadership team. From day one, the Chief of Staff will immediately impact our productivity, streamlining strategic initiatives, overseeing program management, and communicating objectives between departments. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a business leadership/management role, with a special focus on executive-level advising, project management and execution, and key interdepartmental collaboration. In this role, you will enable the global COO and her Leadership team to focus on the largest strategic initiatives by assuming the day-to-day responsibilities for the organizational and operational effectiveness of the team.

Maximize Effectiveness:
  • Support the COO�??s workload and prioritization of time by managing the flow of information, resolving issues, and providing analysis and advice on key issues. Ensure the COO�??s timely involvement in key decisions or projects.
  • Partner with senior leaders and provide counsel to advance key initiatives. Develop and build relationships with all employees for increased efficiency and responsiveness of existing operations, and help define new operational strategies by working with COO and other executives on special projects.
  • Serve as the COO�??s representative and spokesperson in conversations with senior leadership as well as partners.
Operational Excellence:
  • You will be instrumental in maintaining operational excellence through program and process excellence to improve team performance. You have a roll-up-the-sleeves approach with a strong executive presence, are results-driven, utilize analytical rigor and work under pressure to handle time-sensitive projects.
Drive Strategic Initiatives:
  • Support the COO and Leadership team in developing the operational plan, including the overall strategic roadmap and business performance objectives (OKR's)
  • Department OKR Management: Track and communicate OKRs, including strategic and team-level priorities, goals and metrics.
  • Strategic Planning: Plan strategy and planning cycles, connecting different points of view to help COO and leadership plan with the best possible business context. This includes timeline development, supporting teams to complete associated deliverables, and working collaboratively to prepare executive presentations.
  • Strategic Thought Partner to COO- bringing together needs, notes and action items, and lead operational following up of key initiatives. Frame problems and propose structures/models that help people better understand the problem and trade-offs.
  • Lead department-wide strategy and planning processes (OKR planning, headcount planning, budget, DEI, etc. ) and represent the COO in meetings when needed.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, handling inquiries and developing action plans to address them, and assisting with the preparation and dissemination of communications.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years in a business or executive management role. Consulting experience with a focus on operations management a plus.
  • Master�??s degree in Business Administration or similar field - preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum of 3 years�?? of Project/Program Management with emphasis with complex business coordination and process improvement during hyper growth stage
  • Proven experience in business analytics, strategy development, business operations development, due diligence.
  • Must possess unquestionable character and absolute integrity and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Proven leader with a blend of superior strategic, operational, program/project management, and leadership skills.
  • Possess exceptional attention to detail, strong initiative, an influencer who has excelled in matrix and/or consulting environments, and critical thinking skills.

Job Information
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $125400 - $250000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate�??s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
